Dan Hadfield as GARY BARLOW @ Peel Centenary Centre
Aug 20 @ 8:00 pm – 10:15 pm

Dan Hadfield is, without doubt, the go-to Gary Barlow tribute artiste in the entertainment industry. He has sung with Gary, appeared as his lookalike on several TV shows, including the Xtra Factor and Miranda, and has had great acclaim both from Gary himself as well as other significant figures in the industry.

For Gary Barlow and Take That fans alike, Dan is the ultimate tribute, has been praised many times by Gary for his work, and should not be missed!!

Dan Hadfield makes a welcome return following his debut sell-out shows in Peel in 2018 and 2019.

Boomin @ Centenary Centre

Strap yourself in – the lads from Wigan are on their way!

This incredible live party band have personality, energy and sass by the metric ton; their presence brings instant vibrancy to a room, even before they’ve played a note.

With Boomin Band you don’t just get one charismatic front man, you get three! Each band member sings lead vocals as well as harmonising and playing live. By the way, EVERYTHING is live here, there is nothing on track. Each band member has the audience eating from the palm of their hand!

And Boomin’s charm does not stop there. We’ve rarely seen a band as interactive as these guys! All 3 are uber-talented musicians with performing skills and surprises every step of the way.

Boomin’s talent explodes from the stage, and so do they on occasion. We have known them to use the whole venue as part of their act. There aren’t any barriers to this group making sure you have an amazing time! They bring an element of anarchic fun to every event gig.

Their incomparable style and skill for moving smoothly from one song to another is legendary. They segue seamlessly from indie to pop then rock to punk, you will never know what’s coming next! You might be dancing to Arctic Monkeys one minute and Abba the next! These guys will keep you and your guests on your toes. Trust us when we tell you, it’s delightful to be entertained by them.

They could be considered a little bit wild, they’re definitely very spontaneous!

Howlin Mat & Blues John – Blues Night Double Bill! @ Centenary Centre
Oct 8 @ 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

The Atholl Room at the Centenary Centre will play host to two blues musicians – Howlin’ Mat and John Gregory aka Blue John – as part of their three-date tour of the Isle of Man.
Howlin’ Mat is one of the hardest working solo acts around both in the UK and Europe – and he’s even played in the Arctic Circle four times!
Mat is a nationally acclaimed slide guitarist and cites Elmore James and Mississippi Fred McDowell amongst his major influences. No Howlin’ Mat show would be complete without his trademark cigar box guitar for which he has had compliments from the likes of John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) and Mud Morganfield (son of Muddy Waters).
Mat is also a skilled story-teller. He intertwines tales of life on the road with his music to create an intimate and unique experience for each audience. This is no fancy fair with the rough edges all polished and made squeaky clean but the real raw roots blues deal.

Meanwhile at this concert John Gregory will be celebrating 25 years of playing the guitar and 10 years of teaching it. The past few years have been particularly eventful –  he has toured the British Isles with top US blues musicians Ari Eisinger, the Erin Harpe Country Blues Duo and Toby Walker, performed many gigs with Mississippi John Hurt biographer Dr Phil, played his musical hero Big Bill Broonzy’s guitar in Chicago, performed at the world-famous Bitter End club in New York, appeared at venues in Texas, and opened for many world-renowned blues, jazz and roots musicians such as Martin Taylor, Duck Baker, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Nine Below Zero, Joe Filisko and Eric Noden, Michael Messer, John Miller and Grant Dermody and more.
