Jazz Sabbath @ Centenary Centre
Feb 8 @ 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Jazz Sabbath is an English jazz trio, with a fictional backstory that they are from the late sixties. The band was created by Adam Wakeman, touring keyboard and guitar player for Black Sabbath (2004–2017) and Ozzy Osbourne band member (2004–present). Jazz Sabbath plays jazz renditions of Black Sabbath songs, claiming to be the original writers of those songs and accusing Black Sabbath of plagiarism.[2]

The band first appeared in a mockumentary on YouTube in February 2020. In this short film band leader Milton Keanes (Adam Wakeman) was interviewed by actor Robert Powell about the early days of Jazz Sabbath, their cancelled debut album and the alleged theft of their songs by Black Sabbath. This album was later released as an actual album on 10 April 2020.[3]

Joe Martin Celebrates 50 years of James Taylor @ Centenary Centre
Aug 9 @ 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Joe Martin celebrates 50 Years of James Taylor at Peel Centenary on August 9th
James Taylor is the encapsulation of the best of American songwriting. His music has touched millions worldwide over his ongoing 55 year strong career and
his music still stands up to the test of time. This year marks the 50th anniversary of ‘How Sweet It Is’ which was a number 1 hit for Taylor selling over 1 million
copies globally. Joe will be focusing on songs from Taylor’s early catalogue, such as ‘Sweet Baby James’, ‘Something In The Way She Moves’, ‘Fire and Rain’ and also more recent classics like the evocative ‘Frozen Man’. Performing the songs true to how they were written and in the spirit of James Taylor himself, with a soulful lilt.
During this two hour show, you will be taken on journey back to simpler times and happily lose yourself in the dulcet tones and sweet melodies of the finest songs written in the last half a century.
The start of the show will feature some of Joe’s original music. The Lancashire born singer-songwriter is deservedly gaining attention on both sides of the Atlantic seeing him play shows around the UK, Europe and legendary venues in Nashville, Tennessee. His musical journey has seen him collaborate with some of Nashville’s top songwriters including Johnny Garcia of Garth Brooks’ band, hit writer Jill Collucci and Aaron Raitiere at RCA studios on Music Row. His sound is deeply rooted in the classic  American style, with storytelling and lyric a main focus of Joe’s songwriting.

Strap yourself in – the lads from Wigan are on their way!

This incredible live party band have personality, energy and sass by the metric ton; their presence brings instant vibrancy to a room, even before they’ve played a note.

With Boomin Band you don’t just get one charismatic front man, you get three! Each band member sings lead vocals as well as harmonising and playing live. By the way, EVERYTHING is live here, there is nothing on track. Each band member has the audience eating from the palm of their hand!

And Boomin’s charm does not stop there. We’ve rarely seen a band as interactive as these guys! All 3 are uber-talented musicians with performing skills and surprises every step of the way.

Boomin’s talent explodes from the stage, and so do they on occasion. We have known them to use the whole venue as part of their act. There aren’t any barriers to this group making sure you have an amazing time! They bring an element of anarchic fun to every event gig.

Their incomparable style and skill for moving smoothly from one song to another is legendary. They segue seamlessly from indie to pop then rock to punk, you will never know what’s coming next! You might be dancing to Arctic Monkeys one minute and Abba the next! These guys will keep you and your guests on your toes. Trust us when we tell you, it’s delightful to be entertained by them.

They could be considered a little bit wild, they’re definitely very spontaneous!
