The Tea and Coffee Rota is doing  well and has lots of volunteers who are available to serve refreshments during shows.
But we still need friends willing to help out with cleaning the centre.  We have a small band of dedicated helpers but need more
to spread the load. Teams of two people to go in twice a week to keep on top of things.  You may wonder why we don’t PAY someone to come in, quite simply, it’s expensive, also, all aspects of the Centre are run by Volunteers and we cannot pay one lot and expect others to carry on for nothing. The Centre would not survive if it had to pay for all the work that the Volunteers do.
It only takes a couple of hours of your time every few weeks. daytime, weekends, some evenings, depending on when the Centre is used
It’s not glamorous, it’s not paid, but it’s essential.  If you would like to help out: Please call Lindsay Quayle on 422853, or email lindsays@manx.net
Friends of the Centenary Centre - held a hot-pot supper on Valentine's night to present the directors with a cheque for £2,500 which they'd raised over the past year through the sale of refreshments, just the right amount to provide a brand new boiler for the hall.
Below: a group of the Friends watch Ron Cooper hand over the cheque to Dave McLean.

Entertainment following the hotpot supper was provided by Karen & John Elliot.  Lindsay Quayle and Sam Knight did monologues
